Press Release Body = Panther Platform Rentals, one of the most experienced teams in the powered access industry, marks one year on from its acquisition by Lavendon Group this month. The company joined forces with Europe's leading supplier of powered access equipment in order to enhance the service they provide to a UK-wide client portfolio and have made a considerable investment on new machines over the past 12 months.
Working from six strategically located depots around the country, Panther Platform Rentals boosted their fleet with an additional 250 scissor and boom lifts from Niftylift, Skyjack and Genie in order to meet increasing customer demand. Joint Managing Director Richard Miller said: "We wanted to invest substantially to provide an even better service for existing customers and new clients. Joining the Lavendon Group was a natural step towards making Panther Platform Rentals more successful than we have ever been and this has been achieved to tremendous effect. Further significant investment is scheduled for 2007."
Lavendon Group Chief Executive Kevin Appleton added: "The acquisition of Panther Platform Rentals has proved most successful for the Lavendon Group also and the investment demonstrates Lavendon's ongoing commitment to further expansion within Panther. We were very confident that Panther would continue to go from strength to strength and we were proved right."
